ATTENTION ALL PROSPECTIVE MEDICAL STUDENTS (AND DISGRUNTLED EX-EMPLOYEES). JOSE BERNARDO GUTIERREZ DE LARA HAS OFFICIALLY RECEIVED THE REVOE (Reconocimento de Validez Oficial De Estudios A La Escuela de Medicina JBGDL). I understand that JBGDL passed the stick govermental (education & health) evaluation criteria that is required before any institution is awared this REVOE. You may check this out by viewing the "Periodico Oficial" dated July 4, 2007 pp. 10-14. This was signed by the Governor of Tamaulipas, Eugenio Hernandez Flores. For your information, JBGDL is now the 7th medical school in the state of Tamaulipas!!!
Now if these disgruntled guys keep saying that this medical school is not real, then who are you now going to believe??? Remember all of their accusations? So is saying the truth now? Beware of these malicious guys.
Also, JBGDL's new website will soon be ready. JBGDL has hired Top-Notch employees who really know both educational medical systems.
More later.
P.S.
Just watch how these disgruntled ex-employees are going to strike back. Just read between their lines (hate, anger, disgruntled).

Relevant questions

At noon yesterday, a poster asked the questions below on the CMU forum. By 4:08, i.e within four hours, their bone fide and experienced representative was able to present a comprehensible and coherent answer, without snakes, dogs or elephants, or insults..

See http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-medical-university-cmu/139549-cmu-will-not-answer-these-questions.html

Now let us remember that CMU just begun in May for the first time.

Let us now ask the same questions of the new IMSA/JBGDL admin which is reinventing itself for the tenth time after last failing miserably as late as this year in two attempts at schools called SPSOM/ IMSA.

1. Do you have, or are you in the process of obtaining, ECFMG Step exam eligibility (which would imply WHO and/or IMED listing)? "In the process" means you have unofficial approval by ECFMG, pending waiting periods and paperwork.

2. Do you offer student loans for U.S. citizens which do not require a co-signer (like TERI, or equivalent)?

3. Do you have a charter from the government of Mexico to operate a medical school? If yes, what is the name of the government agency that issued the charter?

4. Is the school incorporated in the United States? If yes, in what state and under what name?

5. Do you require Step 1 as a requirement for your MD degree? If yes, what do you do with students who do not wish to take Step 1 (e.g., to practice in other countries or to become researchers)?

6. Do you accept transfer students at all levels of Basic Sciences? If yes:
a) Do you accept courses taken at <current school>?
b) Do you accept courses taken at <previous school>?
c) Do you require anything at all, besides a transcript, to transfer credits (like course Syllabi)? Note that <previous school> has flatly refused to provide syllabi to former students.
d) <previous school> <reason why previous school is about to collapse>, and may vanish at any moment. If it is not possible to obtain a transcript from them, will you accept an "official transcript given to student" in conjunction with a <current school> transcript showing courses transferred from <previous school> (<current school> will have an official transcript)?

7. Do you have or are you in the process of obtaining rotation contracts with at least one hospital in the U.S.? If yes, please list the hospital(s). If no, please give some indication of how far along this process is.

8. Do you encourage or at least permit students to arrange their own rotations? If yes, would this include rotations in foreign countries? Do you have a formal procedure in place for such students?

9. What is the approximate monthly cost of living in Mexico for a single occupant, including hot water and 24-hour Internet?

10. What is the range of car rental fees?

11. Are there any problems encountered by U.S. students with Mexican Immigration?

12. Are personal effects such as computers and cameras taxed by Mexican Customs when medical students enter the country?

13. Is there Skype service from Mexican If yes, is it currently blocked?

14. At the end of each semester, will you provide an official transcript to each student -- subject to a reasonable fee -- showing courses completed and credits transferred from other schools?

15. For each student, do you guarantee the tuition and fee schedule that was in effect at the time the student was admitted? This includes semesters spent in rotations.

16. Do you have a formal, actually operating -- not theoretical or planned -- grievance procedure for the adjudication of student complaints?

17. Do you have an office or contact person in the United States? If yes, please give the address, phone number, email, and name of that person or office.

18. Do you have a student government? If yes, please provide me with the name and email address of its president or other officer.

19. Do you publish the names of the textbooks used in each course? If yes, are those books actually, really and truly, used by the teachers, or is the list merely part of a marketing plan?

20. Are your teachers required to have "office hours" to meet with students? If no, do they make themselves available at reasonable times?

21. Do you require a school uniform?

22. Do you require students to be tested in subjects that are being transferred from another school?

23. Do you require a "shelf" or "exit" exam before being allowed to start rotations?

24. What are your policies regarding teachers' behavior in the classroom? Are they permitted to humiliate, berate, and ridicule students? If they do that, what will you do?

25. Are there any graduation requirements, however trivial, not explicitly stated on your web site? If yes, what are they?

I will ask other questions in another post.

Unanswered questions still?

In the Cook Islands news on Jan 22 this year the then chief academic officer of SPSOM and IMSA ?JBGDL denied that students of these schools would not be ineligible for transfer to other schools.

The statement of the school’s chief academic officer that no schools allow their students top transfer also revealed the complete lack of knowledge of the subject of medical education of the representatives of IMSA, their penchant for lying routinely and the fact that they have completely lost the plot! ….not that they ever had it.

The writer of an article on this forum entitled Debunking The Myth That Transfers Do Not Occur, then gave several examples of the transfer of students between Caribbean offshore schools, but also listed at least a dozen American schools who allow transfers of students into their school. It was clearly proven that Not only do students transfer routinely every semester from one Caribbean offshore medical school to an Caribbean offshore medical school, but students have actually transferred from Caribbean offshore medical schools to US medical schools as is clearly set out in the well researched work of this person as presented on valuMD at

http://www.valuemd.com/medical-university-americas-mua-nevis/128112-has-anyone-transferred-us-medical-schools-either-basic-sciences-clinicals.html'

The question that must be asked today is HAS IMSA JBGL SUCEEDED IN HIRING A CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER WHO CAN TELL THE TRUTH, OR ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OF JOURNALISTS OR STUDENTS OR ANYONE ABOUT THE WORKINGS OF IMSA JBGL, OR ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT MEDICINE AT ALL?

IMSA JBGL HAS NOT DEMONSTRATED THAT AS YET.

THEIR WEBSITE HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED IN OVER A YEAR.

IT CERTAINLY DOES NOT PRESENT THE INFORMATION REQUIRED BY CURRENT PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS.

IMSA JBGL CONTINUES TO BE WEIGHED IN THE BALANCE AND FOUND WANTING!

CAN YOU TRUST THEM? FOUR BRIGHT YOUNG STUDENTS TRUSTED THEM AND WENT TO THE COOKS ONLY TO SEE THEIR DREAM EVAPORATE BEFORE THEIR EYES IN LESS THAN A YEAR?

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, WILL YOU BE THE NEXT TO BE TREATED THE SAME? DO YOU HAVE A YEAR TO WASTE, WHILE BEATING YOUR BRAINS STUDYING, AND YET HAVE NO CREDITS TO TRANSFER AFTER A YEAR?

DO YOU THINK THAT FOLK WHO COMMUNICATE WITH CARTOONS OF SNAKES TOY ROCKETS DOGS AND ELEPHANTS ARE FIT TO CONDUCT MEDICAL EDUCATION FOR ANYONE?

HAVE YOU SEEN EVEN A SINGLE REASONED, COHERENT, COMPREHENSIVE RESPONSE TO ANY OF THE QUESTIONS AND INFORMATION THAT HAS BEEN POSITED ON THIS FORUM SINCE THEY STARTED OFFERING SMOKE AND MIRRORS IN MID MAY?

These simple questions will now be called hate, anger, and disgruntled, but can they answer the questions that have been asked of them for the last SIX MONTHS?

Stories With A Message For Ztruth And His Friends

TWO STORIES WITH A MESSAGE FOR ZTRUTH AND HIS FRIENDS
STORY #1

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy."
"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull.
They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story: BullS*** might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there
You see ztruth bull s *** might get you noticed on the forum, so that you can be further exposed when you have as many deficiencies as you have. Everyone knows that nothing can be fixed over night, and that you have constantly given no answers.

Get back to the prospective students, when you got a proper ad campaign going, when you can show that you have the required staffing compliment, put that on website with their qualifications, tell us about your improved curriculum.

It is not enough to say that you have corrected everything, and got a REVOE. After all a few days ago you had not even acknowledged that you had deficiencies. Were it not for the repeated exposure of all that you lack on this forum, you would be successful at fooling others. We are here to warn gullible prospective students……and will continue to do so.

STORY # 2

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird
froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a bull came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of bull dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of bull dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story:
(1) Not everyone who tells the truth about you is your enemy
(2) And when you're in deep guano, as you obviously are, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

I hope that by now you have realized that the more you post on this forum, the more you indicate that you and IMSA are incapable of running a medical school, because you don’t say anything of value. You are not really saying anything in your defence. You like to think that you are having the last word, but the truth is you don’t control the thread. When you post you put it right back to the top, and make it easier for us to keep it on the first page. You simultaneously tell everyone what we have been saying all along.

IMSA DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN A MEDICAL SCHOOL AFTER SEVERAL FAILED ATTEMPTS IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS AND ATTEMPTS LAST YEAR IN THE COOKS & GUERRERO.

Ztruth's poor attempt debunked again!LOL

  • I'm sorry Wilt nobody is going to address your negative comments in detail-one by one.
  • Your mentality is blocked by hate or some other reason.
  • Your stubborn, irrational observations have to be ignored (in practically all cases).
  • Please understand that Jose Bernardo Gutierrez de Lara is a serious organization.
  • They have even taken ideas from your comments here.
  • Would you believe?
  • You have actually contributed something positive by your attacks.
  • Now, will you please make an effort to open your mind and understand.
  • This medical school is and has always been serious and professional.
Ztruth, your answer Wilt nobody is going to address your negative comments in detail-one by one, is a very poor one.

When the CMU admin was asked the same questions as pointed out in my post, they were able to answer, within four hours, because they have EXPERIENCE in running med schools!

Ztruth, it isn’t that you don’t find it practical, it is because you DON’T HAVE ANY ANSWERS, JUST AS YOU HAD NO ANSWERS FOR THE MOTHERS AND THE STUDENT FROM SPSOM on JAN 3rd!

AGAIN IMSA/JBGL CAN NOT GIVE ANSWERS TO ANYTHING THAT PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW! That is what is coming through every time you post.
Friends note that after positing that my observations are irrational and ought to be ignored in practically all cases, Ztruth then admits that JBGDL has taken ideas from my comments, and that I actually contributed something positive by my comments.

You have contradicted yourself Ztruth. We call that spitting in the air, the spittle fall back in your own face. Ztruth, it seems that you are out of your league!
Ztruth you are learning slowly that genuine folk tell you the truth. You are learning that brilliant folk always give good and positive ideas, even when you perceive it to be negative. This sometimes creates enemies out of genuine folk, but time has a way of proving to persons who are genuine and who are pretenders. Glad you are learning.

You need to stop and reflect on things said to you by people who you think hate you. A careful analysis would show that those whom you think hate you are really presenting issues that you do not want to face up to, or do not really know how to deal with it.

You need to differentiate between what is constructive criticism and what is hate. It took a little time but now you are by your own admission pointing out that you are LEARNING from the CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM (even though you cant answer any questions for the prospective students).

Ztruth somehow is more interested in what he wants to say than what prospective students have said, continue to say or want to hear. After all this time, IMSA is still not ready, and there is a certain desperation in their antics, statements and disposition giving rise to a loss of confidence in IMSA’s abilities and a sense of resignation among prospective students.

Now Ztruth, there is an axiom that says PUT BRAIN IN GEAR BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH (or post on the valueMD forum).

Ah gone, ya hear? ......... for now.

Website

Ztruth,

You seem to indicate that you like and respond to feedback. So here's another person's opinion. This is a gift.... constructive feedback from an anonymous source.

I would be more likely to believe your posts that the school is serious and professional if you improved your website.

Seriously, this is the first impression you give people.

I have looked at all of the websites of the Caribbeans schools listed on valuemd (i.e. they have their own forum category). The better schools seem to have more professional websites. It makes sense.... a good school pays attention to the details.

Comparing to your website, I have come to the same conclusion as lswiltshire.... the school simply does not, in my opinion, appear to be professional or serious. And I simply am not going to investigate it any further. It has really turned me off.

And you post in big, obnoxious lettering. Suggests to me a bit of a superiority complex. What you say in your posts also reinforces this impression. Plus I am really concerned about your track record, having very public conflicts with the government at your other school, what was it called, SPSOM? This once again, gives me the impression that the school admin seems to think they know better than anyone else.... the government, the students, valuemd members, the professors, the "system", etc. etc.

You say you are not any of those things. So go to Elance.com and hire a professional web designer. Then start showing some humility. I think the folks on valuemd would respond better.

I have been investigating valuemd to get a feeling for the personality of various schools. One new school's admin posts all seem quite humble, honest and responsive. But a different school's official admin posts seem to take offense at any comments critical of their school. My preference is a more humble, responsive administration over a touchy, arrogant, condescending administration.
