I just recieved the same info in the mail today. People who graduate there will still be considered IMGs, right? I mean, that school cannot get LCME approval.

Nope

Still IMGs. It is my understanding that the school is only for people in that region...US citizens need not apply. Does the stuff you got say any differently?? Lemme know if it does, I like to update my brain from time to time. G

According to the brochure it says people from the US can apply as well. Also you will be graduating with the same Cornell degree as the US based medical school. I'm guessing though they're probably going to add a little postscript to your degree though. Also it says the curriculum is taught by Cornell faculty.

I hear though in terms of USMLE pass and score it's a much safer bet to go to one of the Carib's than puerto rico.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is not a foreign school. It is considered a US school and is LCME accredited. PR is a US territory. G
