try so hard to make Kigezi look bad...
OK, so here we go. I am not admin, but I do know what these names are for...
Kigezi foundation is the overall foundation which raised the money to build the clinics and offices at kabale hospital in the Kigezi region of Uganda, as well as set up internet access for the doctors and students. It continues to try to make improvements in the care of the people of the kigezi region. All of the Kigezi students are required to spend time (at least 3 months and up to 2 years) in the kabale hospital (if you are getting a degree from Uganda, you should spend time in Uganda!). Kigezi international school of medicine- I think this one is obvious. Kigezi limited- this is the name of the consultant service that provides copies of lecture notes, lecture materials, etc. Like I said I am just a student but I can assure you that kigezi (and the other listings) are absolutely legit. Why do you try so hard to make kigezi look like a fraud? By clicking on your name (dt) we can all see that you go to school at ------- (I have deleted the name as to let others find out to keep the name calling to a minimum). I try not to bring up this point, but I am getting sick of the ----------- (I took it out again) students trying hard to make kigezi look bad. I only know of a couple students who transferred to ------ (again) that passed classes at kigezi and I know for a fact that one of the students did not ever pass an exam at Kigezi! does that make ------ (again) a better school? hmmm, I fail at this school yet still got into another. Sounds really fishy to me. |

LOL Dont mind me. KigeziMed does not. Look at a few posts above and you will see that KigeziMed was going to post an internet ready response. Quote:
By the way, what med school do I go to again? And if I really want to make Kigezi look bad, I think I could do better. |

kigezi looks bad
youngmed what planet are you living on. ive been to the kable hospital. internet service for docs and students yea right 1 computer that came out in 1986 with a 14.4 modem and 1 phone in the whole place. half of the staff dont even know how to turn on the computer or use a phone. they have no one to call cause no one there has a phone. if your just a student how do you know who has passed and who failed and what business is it of yours. does kigezi make it policy to tell students who passed and who fail. grades are emailed to each student and not made public except for thoes privy to adim and get what info they want. i know for a fact students are failed by instructors because the anatomy instructor is so full of himself that the gets a kick out of putting people down. what about the students that did leave they got a 1-2 hour of interigation session wanting to know why they were leaving and treated like a common criminal. last i hear a student can leave any school with out being put in a position of explaining where they are going and threating to hold transcripts (not due to nonpayment) the school did not even have a written policy in place. a lot of students got upset when a group of 1st yr 4yr students went to admin to demand that the students that had failed a test be thrown out of school. all because those student wernt in their clique and worst of all admin tried to threaten students with what they wanted. nice way to run a school. for 24,000 a year its no one business what any students grades or problems may be. if the clique wants to pay everyones tution then they can make demands but they dont and admin allows this to go on. why i dont have a clue cause they need all the tution they can get cause there were only 6 paying students this term and 3 of them are leaving. I also want to know how the ceo/admissions person for kigezi got where they are now when they were a cleaning person at the ohio office. the ohio is also a joke it was 2 rooms the ceo admissions person and 3 other people. the ohio office is now closed but still conducts business but under the name academic mang. consultants. the ceo's brother is now recruting the ceo is vice prisdent the dean is a phd the uk office sec/recp ect is now the finanical officer they have no new building ( your rebuttal yea they do its in the city center, but the admin cant reveal the location due to legal reasons ) that is total ** i have been in the uk for 3 yrs now (wasted 2 at kigezi) no one else has that legal obligation kigezi doesnt have the money to get one they will be over obriens for the rest of the time they have left in the business. yea over obriens on the first floor with 1 bathroom and a lib/comp room that is the size 17 x 20 6 computers and class room that 20 people are cramed into and students have to walk ten minutes to the euro center to attend classes in a rented room its not to fun to have to walk in the rain and snow and 30 mile hr winds freezing just get to class at another location. not to mention the 5 yr students had classes canceled this semster and last due to no one to teach the class. not only do 5 yr students pay 24,000 a yr but only get 3 classes a semster in some semester they only get 2 classes this is part time on any college standard. part time to kigezi is you dont take classes but still pay full tution. the 4 yr students have 4- 5 classes a semster and pay the same amount of tution as the 5 yrs. so do your research mr. jones keping up with the jones and trying to defend a school that is out to make money and not give what you pay for. and for the student that the ceo has reporting back to her what each and every student is up to. way to go you will make it far in life. you would make Dr. Cox proud and Kelso would be your best buddy. so good luck to you all keep up the faith that the new building will be purchased soon and that the uganda hospital gets broadband. for the rest of us we are well on our way to the new world called america where they have a new found invention of water that is piped into the house the toilets are indoors and broadband.

would you want to go to school with "plasma"?
I can't tell you how loud I laughed when I read plasma's post. I think almost anyone who reads it will understand that it is completely based on rumours and lies from the school they attend!
The old “they were a cleaning person” lie has been around from the beginning. It is false, but makes for great conversation! The Ohio office was disbanded because the school wants to get away from being lumped in with schools for US students who didn’t get into medical school. The new building is not a secret; it is on lensfield road, right in city center. There are two very large buildings with a courtyard, pond, etc. They are a couple of the university of Cambridge buildings that were put up for sale when the dept of education moved from city center . you can go visit if you would like. I was quite impressed. Kigezi needed to stay in Cambridge (which is considerably more expensive) to keep the high level of professors. That way you won’t have some local doc teaching because they thought it would be cool. As you claim to know…at Kigezi, you only get one exam. If you fail it, and the retake, you fail that class. This means that anyone who is taking a retake…has failed an exam! Doesn’t take a rocket scientist! I only know of one person who transferred from Kigezi who hadn’t failed an exam, It is not you (unless you have two user names on this site). Why don’t you tell us honestly if you ever failed and exam at Kigezi? Do you really think you transferred to a better school if they accept people who failed at the previous institution? Although, I agree it is probably cheaper. I hope others were offended by the way you refer to non-western countries! I was. I also don’t think you have been to Kabale, because Kigezi built a very nice school building there with classrooms, offices and internet. So, maybe that was just another put-down you heard from your friends. I have to say that while reading your response I was glad you were not at Kigezi anymore. I also felt a little sad that you were going to treat patients some day (maybe). I would be scared if you were treating me! |

lol
Come on man, don't get too high and mighty.
There is virtaully no one that graduates from Kigezi who has never failed an exam. Heck, there are few people in any school who NEVER failed an exam. However, lets recount some the folks I know: 2 people who left and had never failed an exam at Kigezi 2 people who failed one exam, however, there is a catch to these people. The ENTIRE class failed the same exam and the 2 people mentioned had the two highest grades in the class. After these students told admin they were leaving, the school applied a large curve to the exam so most people in teh class passed. That curve WAS NOT applied to these 2 students grades. 2 people who failed 1 class once. There are some people who stay at kigezi and have failed the same class multiple times. The there are others who had failed multiple classes and left to go to several different schools including SC, SMU, and others. This may not seem like too many people, but when you have incoming classes like this year (6 paying students) and a class intake only once a year, it can create a problem. There are more and more people leaving every semester.

Maybe Kigezi is trying for a multi-language response (since the information on the internet can be read anywhere globally). |
