    Hello,
I'm in the 3rd year of medicine in Greece
and I would like some information about getting a residency (specialty)
in a European country (other than Greece) in an English University, so that I now in advance what qualification I will be needing in order to enter there later.
I speak English, French and I'm learning Spanish but the language will not be a problem as I have enough time to learn a new one.
I just wish to do the residency in English.
Could you give me some links or some information about it?
    Thank you.

    hey

If you wish to do your residency from an English University, then I'd suggest that you look into the Central European countries (Poland, Czech Repub., Hungary etc.) as they often offer programs in multiple languages....

You could try that but I doubt you will get far. These countries offer parallel courses in English at their med. schools: they are not English universities and are not suitable for doing "a residency in English". Remember that a minute fraction of the patients speak English, and a limited number of the other residents/senior doctors do. But I may have misunderstood what VirginiaEva is looking for.

Hey VirginiaEva, let met correct myself. If you want to go to an English University, then I guess UK, Ireland and Scottland are the only options in Europe but I've heard that they are very competitive (however, if your an EU citizen then you do have a higher preference as opposed to the non EU citizens...and if you're looking for English language programs in the EU, then your might want to consider the Central European Med. schools (they do have a language requirement though)...

hi eva... I am now in bucharest... and i think in romania u could do it in many universities...especially the ones in the north ...like oradea and cluj..in bucharest i dont think its possible for the moment. maybe in two .. 3 years it will change..! but again...u should go to the UK or or ireland o scotland...for better standards. still.. if i were u i would search all my options. i also heard that some universities in the netherlands offer programs in english ...not sure..but its worth a try.. best of luck.
