undergrad US degree vs. 4 yr foreign MD prg w/o college degree

I have the option to choose between continuing my last year of undergrad in US and then go to a 4 yr foreign med school in Poland such as the The Medical University of Warsaw OR go to poland medical school without finishing my last year as undergrad. My goal is practice medicine in the US. Will obtaining a US undergrad degree really matter when tryin to obtain a residency in US?

Check the states you plan to practice in. There is a link here on this website. Many require 90 credits of standard pre-med type classes, prior to med school.

What about if you are going for the 6 year program? Do you still need your undergrad degree? Is that going to make a difference when it comes to practicing in the us? Since for the 6 year one, you don't need to finish college. But is that going to hurt me at the end?

Generally no, not for that reason. The reason is that the two additional years substitute for the 90 college hours. Thousands of folks with six year degrees (and nothing else) are licensed in the US. In fact, most medical education (apart from the US, Canada and off-shore copycats) takes places within what are essentially six year programs.

ummm yeah it did make a big difference in my case, I opted to finish my degree, its to your distinct advantage...... then again I am not a residency coordinator or director, but I know this from direct observation... you made it this far, a year wont make much difference, do it trust me or you will regret it later... otherwise if you change your mind from medicine to something else down the line, you will always have your degree to fall back upon, and not just merely college "credits" that evaporate after a certain time period as I understand. You made it this far finish it up man.....
good luck.
