Source America

Hey, here is three 6 year programs... Can anyone enlighten me on Source America, and is worth trying to go to Sofia, Pleven, or Varna for medical school? Instead I will have to pay for undergrad and hopefully get into medical school, and pay incredible amounts of money that I dont have? It says I just have to do one year of residency after passing the ESMLE. I just want to know... "yay" or "nay" to doing this after graduating high school this year?

people this site is for sharing information. unbaised information, so which ever side you are on, just make sure the information you provide is accurate unbaised. But if you feel like taking up a cause, hey it's not hard.
with just $20 you could get your own personal web site going.
hey don't blame me, just an idea...

any ways, is any one on here currently in the six year program at Lodz? or Planning to attend this Fall?

How can the information that one person shares with all the other be "unbiased?"

I think you mean that the information shared here is meant to influence anyone, as in the way one of the agents for the Polish or Hungarian schools, or a car salesman might try to.
Once information passes through the filter of a person, it's biased, by definition. Biased doesn't only mean "delivered with the intent to manipulate someone's thought processes."

If you believe a Hungarian doctor killed your grandmother, and you come here to try to discourage everyone from going to med school in Hungary, then that's one kind of bias.
If you have visited Poland and think Lublin is a provincial backwater with nothing to offer someone who likes high culture, then you'd just be sharing your opinion. Still, that's another kind of bias--because you would then be a person who values high culture (opera, art galleries, high tea at 4:30p.m., etc., etc.). A person who does not value those things might think Lublin is a perfectly lovely town to go to med school in.

It isn't bias that is the problem here. In this case it was a bit of disrespect for each other.

I say: eveyone tell the stories, share their information, and let the chips fall where they may. But don't be a bunch of gutless pack of d**kheads to each other.

We're all human beings with more in common than most of us usually realize.

Cheers to all!

Michael

hey higns07, i've heard from a couple of students that Sofia and Varna are good bt i personally think that if you have to make a choice between the two, you should visit for yourself....coz you'll be the best judge.

Secondly why bulgaria? i mean it might probably be worth considering now that its part of the EU bt that should be the sole reason too. The better known English medical programs in Europe are usually the ones in Czech, Hungary and Poland...and regarding the financial issue, i'm sure you can get stafford loans (in Charles where I'm plannin 2 study, i've heard that most of the americans go through the stafford loans).....so i dont think that should be a problem either....what' s you budget like if you dont mind me askin?

Germany has some of the best medical schools in the world. Enrollment also tends to be more open than in North America. The main requirement is having a German Abitur, an eligiblity to enter higher education and passing score in German language test to enter University study. One major benefit of the German system is that there are not tuition fees even for international students. The sticky point for international students though is the language requirement, German is a tough language to master quickly.

Hi, I'm seriously debating whether to go to Romania for a medical school, or to go to St. George. I really, really want to get into a psychiatry residency program in the United States therefore I'm really torn here. Does anyone know the stats for the USMLEs passing scores in both schools? I was born in Romania but left when I was 2; I still have my grandparents there and some family, though the lifestyle is completely foreign to me. I'm also aware that there are 4 years in SGU vr. 6 in Romania, but the Romanian school is one of the oldest in the country- it has prestige and reputation.
Please, any piece of information would be welcomed.
