Fall 2012 4 year program Applicants-- Introduce yourself!!

    Hey guys,

I'm not going to bother asking "what are my chances" since my application is currently complete and am now just anticipating the interview. I personally look at the interview as a good opportunity to speak more about myself especially given my 26 MCAT and gpa under 3.0(out of 4). In the past few years after completing undergrad I have contributed and led volunteer and fundraising campaigns. For a brief time I was considering Public Health and took a nonmatriculated grad course at UMDNJ in environmental health which I aced. Currently I am working at a cadaveric lab/simulated OR primarily aimed towards surgeon education. My company focuses in spinal surgery products and procedures and has pioneered the lateral approach. I have to constantly find ways to streamline lab processes and am constantly learning new products and procedures in development. I appreciate my job very much as it has given me a hands-on learning experience with surgery. I am constantly being tested as well; last year I had to take the clinical spine exam, a test that covers spinal anatomy, products, procedures, and other topics related to the company. I am currently preparing for a certification exam which tests my ability to lead a surgeon through a specific procedure. If I pass that, I am then able to teach surgeons that technique and the products associated with it.

Sorry for rambling, I just felt like there's a lot to talk about! Please share!

You need a 24 full stop.

Okay well I guess the last interviews were this past weekend in NYC. I was interviewed on the 8th. Does anyone know how long it will take for responses?

Hi to all. I am planning to apply for jagellonian 4 year md program next year 2013. I have several gpa's because I attended the community college and currently in university. Here are my stats: Community college GPA: 3.30 University GPA: 3.80 Biology gpa (my major) 3.77 Sceince GPA :3.40 and overal (both community and university) 3.45 I also have done volunteering at the hiospital for one year and currently doing research. Planning to shadwo a physican this upcoming fall 2012. Now, the biggest issue is the MCAT. I did not do so well the first time so I will retake it January 2013 since Sept 2012 is the last available date to take it this year and I will not have neough time to prepare. Assuming I score the minimum (24) what do you think are my chance to get into jag university. I would really apprecaite your honest comments. Thanks
