Jagiellonian U. Interview

I have been offered an interview for next week by Jag.! I'm both thrilled and nervous...does anyone have any suggestions for how to prepare for it? Or if you knew what types of questions (preferably specific ones) they'll ask?

I heard that they'll for sure ask about the personal statement, so I'll make sure I have it on hand.

Please help!! Thanks in advance~

Oh, also, is there any ranking for Polish medical schools? I can't seem to find one...or at least, I don't know which one(s) are official.

Hey CJ85!

I saw your post on here, but no one replied to you. I have my interview later this week, and I was wondering if you happen to remember anything from your interview. I can't find anything on these interviews on this site. Thanks!

Hi,

I know your question wasn't directed to me specifically, but I will reply nonetheless. As for the interview, expect questions regarding your personal statement, motivation to study medicine, and more specifically, to do so in Poland. If you have research experience, expect cursory questions on that topic as well.

Overall, I would say that the interview was fairly casual and straightforward. I don't remember any difficult questions at all, really.

If you haven't had the interview already, good luck!

Thanks for the response, Rotten!

Unfortunately, I won't be of much help, Zanooba. I received word a few days ago that my interview is scheduled for next week. Good luck with the interview!! It would be nice if we become colleagues in the future.

Thanks for the response, Rotten. I actually had my interview with the US admissions officer last week, and she asked about the exact things that you said she would. It was nice and laid back and actually kind of short (~15 min ). Also, apparently this year each applicant has two phone interviews, and I have my second one with Dean Laidler tomorrow, so I'm hoping that one goes well, as well.

Good luck on your interview, CJ85...maybe we'll be seeing each other in Poland in a few months!?!

Thanks balleballe and CJ. Just so you know, Jag has received full approval by the Medical Board of CA. I'm from California, too, and I def want to come back here, so Jag is definitely an option. Plus, I'm excited at the prospect of maybe coming back to do elective rotations at UCLA (my undergrad). Good luck on ur interview!
