I am a current student on the 6year program here in JAG. If anyone has any questions, comments, or needs any help with JAG or Krakow in general, post your questions below, and I will try my best to answer them!

bigndude is correct. The 12 week rule is a licensing rule, not a residency rule. You can still obtain a residency (in NY) with doing more than 12 weeks of rotations outside your home school. This is a gamble though because if your program were ever audited, the State Medical Board might give you trouble. It has been done before though.

But i guess the real question is, why has UJ not applied for NY board approval ????(which is mind boggling considering it is much easier to get then cali approval. there are schools on the ny list which have been denied for approval in cali)

This is the website of the board that administers the Lekarski Egzamin Państwowy (LEP) exam, which is the exam that all polish medical graduates have to pass in order to practice. Hopefully this website points you in the right direction. Try emailing them with your questions.

I know you guys talked about how Dorms are cheap and convenient, but what are they like specifically? Are they pretty small, aka bed and desk (like what we all saw in University)?

I know the exam is the most important part of getting accepted into the school, but can you tell me how the exam is like? are the study guide questions similar to the test? And also, about how many students in total do you think have applied or are applying for the 6 year program.

hello741 I emailed JAG's admission office about a week before the deadline and there have been over 60 applicants, or at least that is what they told me. I think there is about 20 spots or so, but keep in mind, they are mostly for Scandinavian applicants.

Dave_MD Poznan has been ranked number one according to the Polish Government. It's even on their website :P
