credentials, admission

Hi All -
I would appreciate input.

I have a 3.7 gpa and internship / work information in the medical field... but, only a 20S on the MCAT. know, the S is the good part... but, I am very concerned about the number. Do you think I have a chance at the israeli med schools?

Hi. I'm a student at Technion med. and should say that your GPA is great but MCAT is low ..is there any chance you could retake it again? Average MCAT score at Technion (as far as what I've heard is 28). However I know that they accept people with lower MCAT scores (never say never I guess).
Good luck.

The good thing about the Israeli schools is that you can apply for the upcoming year and if you don't get in you can still apply for the next round (provided that you show some sort of improvement-in your case that would be re-taking the MCAT). Remember that average MCAT scores for acceptance means that for every high score above average an equally low score was accepted as well. I don't think you can get a reliable answer in regard to AVERAGE MCAT acceptance scores b/c none of the Israeli schools publish them, so beware of getting factoids, b/c it is probably more of an impression then a valid statistical number. However, what I can tell you is that I have heard of people getting into sackler with 22 but also just a rumor that I wouldn't be surprised about.
In conclusion- I advise you to give it a shot most you have to loose is 50 bucks.
Good luck
