New York, tuition, student loans

Does anyone know what is going on next semester? I've heard rumors that new york is coming back to do a second review. Why is this process taking so long? I also heard that we were supposed to have some sort of computer system for online access to our grades in place, anyone care to comment on that one?

I don't like having to take pictures of my grades with a camera so I have some sort of proof that I actually took the test. It would be nice to have some documentation of our progress.

Why has no one spoken of tuition and fees for next semester? I have no idea how much I am going to be paying. Am I still paying the reduced tuition, or will I be paying the full amount? I would appreciate it if someone would let us know ahead of time.

How are the loans coming? No one at school speaks of them. Are we going to get funding or not?

Has anyone applied for residency yet?

We were told that NY is coming back next semester because they have to review the changes that were made to the school. I know that it has seemed like a while since NY was last here, but the changes needed time to be implemented.

In terms of the electronic way of checking grades, I understand that the system is supposed to be in place for next semester, that the system is currently being implemented so that its ready for next semester.

In terms of the loans and tuition, thats something you're going to have to ask Dallas office about, there's nothing we know down here to help you on that one. I know that MEDLOANS has been put in place, but it is only for tuition and books. Once again, most of these things should be addressed to Dallas office as an administrator will probably have more information about this than the students.

Hope that helps...

I checked the website for MEDLOANS (AAMC: MEDLOANS Loan Programs) and was unable to find IAU as an eligible school, listed on any of the applications. Can you please provide me with a link where this may be found.

Loans

Yeah, I think that the loans are not through the conventional "MEDLOANS" that we all think of - its another company that is providing the loans to us. I guess just double check it with Dallas office - but that is the link provided on IAU's website.

Thanks IAUPREMED

Yes, a few students have applied and have received interviews already. Please wait until match is announced next year to hear who placed where.

Who runs this other "med-loans" since it is not the AAMC affiliated one? Where can I find out more information about this company, like how long it has been in business, is it publicly traded on the stock market, and what other schools are they affiliated with? Has anyone used them before?

I would suggest contacting the IAU office for these specific questions about Med-loans. I know that within the next few months I will be looking at applying with Med-loans.

Is IAU approved in Cali

Which states can you not practice by doing to IAU? Do they have any residents in any specialty in States?

Thanks.

IAU students will NOT be able to work in California, even if transferred in/out... Welcome to the Medical Board of California - Medical Schools

Same thing with Kansas, they have a 15 year rule - KSBHA -

I have posted simliar links to other state's approved/disapproved lists. http://www.valuemd.com/st-matthews-u...-grads-39.html

The first graduates are interviewing right now for residency, match is announced nation wide in a few months.
