loans

Ok i spoke with an IAU representative and i was informed that the loans will cover only the tution and fees but not living expenses. So if current students can give me insight on how they manage the living expenses and such that would be great. Because i wont be able to afford paying out of pocket for the living expenses and etc. So please give me serious replies.
Thanks

Unfortunately, thats a tough question to answer because each student it unique in their financial status and how they are going about paying for living expenses down here. We were told that since loans were not an option for us at the time - we had to find other ways of procuring the finances to help pay for school.

Whether its through parents or other family members - or working and saving up to pay for the classes - thats what each student had to figure out.

If you want to find out specifically how students are paying for classes - I suggest contacting the SGA and asking for students who are willing to share their information with you - I know some students are uneasy about posting how they are paying for school in public forums (not to say that they are illegally obtaining the money or anything - just a privacy issue)

Money

Medloans will not cover everything, so the only other real options would be to obtain a private loan, parents, or just save up money for the remainder amount of living expenses. I would say the bare minimum you should expect to pay is $400 US per month for rent, transportation, food and etc., but you better pack food before coming.
