You should be looking at, at-least 20 fellow new students; however this is not to say other students are not to follow, as their is still some time for those accepted to make their final decisions.
See you soon |

As far as preference goes, most students will choose living in apartments-either in a single or sharing with others. Nevertheless, the dorm has it's own pluses, in that you pay a flat fee in which all your utilities/fees are included, in addition to having A/C. As far as coming to the island, it's at least an option to have if you haven't lined up anything in advance. |

Housing
Quote:
The apartments have different rooms and options as well (some have A/C, some don't - some have multiple bedrooms, others are singles, etc.) I have heard some students say that staying in the dorms first semester to get your self situated and then look for private apartments on your own after first semester is a good way to go - I have personally stayed in apartments since I've been here. Most students go this route - so I'm sure that has to say something about the preferred method of housing down here. Any questions about what you should/shouldn't bring are available in previous posts on ValueMD - hopefully you'll find all of the information you are looking for here. If not - please contact the NSC (New Student Committee) members for further information or contact the Dallas office directly. Congrats on your acceptance and I look forward to seeing you next semester. |
