Since you have the time...if you're like me and will either highlight like crazy or toss your books around, using Half.com or Amazon.com and getting books online, I've had the best luck and saved even moreso than using Barnes and Noble. Just a thought. Also, many of the books are available in PDFs and/or DJVU files if reading off a computer doesn't bother you. Cheers

If so could someone please give me like what they realllllly had to have..like requierd books for first semester. Just because I have limited room in bringing things down to the island I dont want to be bringing extra things that i didnt need to bring. I think i have like thirteen books...which is a lot..but if thats what is needed then so be it. thanks u guys.

Ok - if you have limited space, I would suggest bring the necessary books then. The classes you start first semester you continue through second semester with some variations (for example anatomy) Here is the way that class go (as far as I remember - I'd check with the Dallas office to see what your schedule is going to be when you get here):

Anatomy - Moore Anatomy book
Physiology - BRS and Guyton (both are really good)
Doctoring 1 - Synopsis (although I usually just used the professors slides)
Biochemistry - Lippincott (3rd edition if you have it)

I don't know what other books that you have - but those are the books that I used.

Usually - in terms of Anatomy - you take Histology and Embryology before you take Anatomy - so I would suggest bringing your Histo and Embryo books as well. If you have further questions, feel free to let us know.

My only other recommendation is the Persuad and Moore Embryology Text Book (get the most current edition)...you won't be disappointed, as reading this book, essentially made anatomy a breeze, as well as your Case Studies. Albeit we have a few copies in the library, if you actually read and highlight, and want a book that can relate to more than just the subject matter of content, this book is quite good. Good Luck

Most students find the best deals online, like Amazon.com. If you ship directly to the school, send it early because things are a little slow in St. Lucia.
