From what I have been told, IAU has applied for New York Accreditation and the process is already underway i.e. the board already inspecting the campus. I just wanted to know how long of a process it is for the New York State medical board to figure when IAU will receive an answer? When will I know that IAU is New York accredited? From talking to the people at the admissions office, they seem pretty confident.

Yes, the process has already begun and the NY accreditation team has already visited the campus of IAU and is in the process of visiting IAU's Dallas office as well as clinical sites within the US. We don't have any other information other than the visit down here to St. Lucia was very positive and the students and faculty down here feel very positive as well. We hope to find out soon what NY's decision is, when that will be, we're not really sure. I guess the safest thing to say is that when we know, we'll certainly make sure that the information is posted here on ValueMD.

Hope that helps, but its really up to NY to determine when they want to tell us about your accreditation or not.

From what we've heard the process takes about 2-3 months sometimes a little longer. But like the person above said, as soon as we know we'll make sure to post it up on here.
