J1 research visa
I would like to ask few questions regarding J1 research visa....
1- Is 2 year "Home Residency Requirement" there for research J1 visa too??? 2-- Is that possible to convert J1 research to H1 clinical? 3-- Is J1 waiver possible on research visa? Thanks.... |

Quote:
Yes, you can convert to H1-B, since there is no Home Country Residence Requirement. There is no need for a waiver, since there is no Home Country Residence Requirement

J1 and research Position
I am a Dutch Nation and visiting the US on a B-2 Visa. I was offered a job for research in radiology from xyz university. If they offer me a J-! visa, would I have to leave the us after my research is finished. Meaning, If I apply for a match for residency in 2009, would I be able to convert my J1 to the clinical J1, or must I have to leave.
Also, what type of J-1 Visa are there ? and how can I avoid leaving the US, when I want to transition into a residency porgram... Please advise and help |
