Clinical Rotations
Quote:
The word internship has different meanings in Hungarian and Anglo-Saxon medical education. In Hungary, the "internship" is considered the final year of medical school. As Neil points out, in the US, it is the first postgraduate year. I think that for purposes of this forum, it would make more sense to keep to the standard used elsewhere on the site and use the word internship to refer to the first postgraduate year and use clinical rotations (or clinical clerkships) for pregraduate clinical work. |

I have finished by Standard 12 in Indian School (science subject) and would like to take up medicine in Hungary.
Please advise the cost of study in the medical school and other expenses per semester. |

In one of my previous posts on this thread I have gone into good detail on what some of the questions prospective students had..... If you have any more questions feel free to PM or email me. I wish you the best of luck... |

From a prospective applicant
Hi Can any one tell me (especially those who went from the US to study medicine in Hungary) what qualification they had from the US - High School, High School with some advance placement courses etc., or some college courses?
Also if any one knows about some UK stidents coming to study medicine with GCSE or GCE O level qualifications? I know that Pecs is the oldest medical schoool, but is there any reason that they are ranked at the bottom of the medical schools in Hungary. Kavi |

I don't know enough about the UK students' qualifications. I suggest that you contact the schools directly. Regarding Pecs. It is a fine school, but it is the smallest med school in Hungary (both Hungarian and English programs). The reason to be wary about Pecs is that they have are partially being represented by an agent named *** ********, who is notorious about not delivering on his promises. |

You mean the school has no admission office and no one can get admitted through the school directly? And what good is the website for the school if that is the case? I don't get it... |
