Thread: Debrecen, Hungary - English language MD program

Even though I am 99.9% cerrtain... just checking..

Can someone confirm that Debrecen English language MD program is recognized by BOTH NY and CA state medical boards ?

Any Debrecen MD grads working in the US and what has their experience been with working in the US with a Hungarian MD ?

Debrecen's English program is approved in California. See http://www.medbd.ca.gov/Applicant_Sc...cognized.htm#H

As of this date, it is not approved in New York, though they've applied for recognition. See http://www.op.nysed.gov/medforms.htm

I attend Debrecen. yes we are CA approved and should be NY approved by start of new school year. We will also have a program with a New York Hospital to do CORE rotations, not just electives, so this will be good news for US students..but we have to wait for NY medical board to give the final ok. see you in September..
