Thread: Canadians/Americans in Debrecen

I'm coming to visit the school on the 13/14th and would like to meet up with some Canadians while there for their take. I've read over other threads and know I can just show up and make do but I was wondering if there was a Canadian/American hangout on campus. If not I'll go to student services or ask for help from random English speaking students but any tips would be appreciated.

There are 2 coffee shops. All the students will be there at least once during the day. 1 is at the T building (Theoretical Building) the other at the new (very nice) Science Building. Just introduce yourself and I'm sure you'll get an earful...GL

Thanks for the tip Tiza. Just got to Budapest and am in an internet cafe looking for a place for the night. It seems pretty nice and the area around the main metro looks like it is really in the process of being fixed up with a lot of progress having already been made. Anyway, can't wait to do a little more exploring and check out the night life later. I'm sure it'll be great based on what íi've heard about good size EE cities. It's really nice to know there is a city like this not too far away if Debrecen gets to feeling a little small at times.

Stay the at the Youth Hostel or you can get a room at Centrum Panzio on Piac Utca (street) close to the (small) Debrecen mall (but theres a McDonalds inside, FYI) Like I said, you'll meet students at the hostel or coffee chop. Enjoy Hungary
