    Ayurveda also has treatment in-between attacks. This treatment is essential to reduce recurrence of attacks and severity of symptoms. This is called as apunarbhava chikitsa.
    Ayurveda has specific group of drugs that acts especially on mind. This helps to normalize the disturbed psychological factors. These medicines provide mental stability and relaxation.
    Ayurvedic medicines are safe for all the age groups. Ayurvedic treatment can be taken along with other antiepileptic drugs. This will definitely reduce the dose of antiepileptic drugs gradually.
    Ayurveda has specialized panchakarma treatments. These therapies help to remove root cause of the disease. Panchakarma therapies like Nasya, Shirobasti, etc. are of great value in case of epilepsy. Panchakarma therapies help to reduce the recurrence of disease.

    I know that disease, my sister have it and I’m familiar with the burden on day to day life. She can’t walk and talk properly and seeing that is a big pain in the heart. She got it when she was eight years old; my question was is this heritable?
