2nd Career folks

Hi all, I am in this group b/c I am starting on this long hard journey of MD and I want others who are in my situation to share their experiences with me. I am married (10 years) and must leave my spouse behind for a year to complete my basic sciences, it's hard but he understands. What has it been like for others in this situation. Also, what career did you have b4 deciding to become a MD

Hi phillypd, I've applied to Saba and if accepted will be leaving behind my wife (6 years) and my daughter who is about 19 months old. I am currently a high school science teacher (chem/bio).
