new families in dominica

I'd like to start a thread for families who are on the island and those who will soon be there. My wife and two young girls will be coming w/ me to the rock and would like to get to know some people before we get there. I know the advice with housing and what to bring has been discussed but its, from what ive found, somewhat vague. especially housing. some specifics would ease my wife's mind. is there a website for spouses?

Did you and your family ever make it to Dominica?? I have talked to current student that told me stories of living there. I didn't know if there was any families there tho. How is it working out??

Check out the ross spouse site for blog and info from families who are on the island. It's hard but manageable.
