Just got word that I got in for january 2010. However because its so close to January and there is not enough time for me to get ready and prepare myself to start medical school, I'm deferring my acceptance until may 2010. I have a lot of free time from now until then. I posted before about studying before arriving and I bought Netter's atlas, and BRS biochem and embryology. If someone doesn't mind, can you send me the lecture notes used in biochem first semester just so I can take a look at them. I cant access myRoss until I book a flight apparently and I probably wont do that until january.

If you can email them that would be great, Im not trying to start a 12 page discussion why I souldn't review things or debate about if I am some scammer or something like that. I just wanna take a look at the notes in advance to get a feel of things.

I'm making arrangements to go to the island this January. Is it true that the meat in Dominica make people sick? anyone that is there or went to the island please clarify this issue? thanks

interview coming up, concerned about past

hey guys, i have an interview in orlando coming up with Ross. only thing is i'm a little concerned because of my past experiences. i went to a US medical school for three years and withdrew this past summer due to personal concerns. i had to repeat my M1 year, did so successfully, and then finally withdrew at the end of my M2 year. i had some personal issues that needed to be addressed. i am applying for the jan 2010 term. i was just kind of scared as to what my chances are to get in (3.5 gpa, 29p mcat), and whether or not my past will be a big hurdle during the interview. thanks so much guys!!

Hey friends...i will be starting at ross in jan 2010..i have decided that i will just buy two books (biochem meisen and netters anatomy) for first sem..which i figure i will take them in my luggage since tehre is no point in paying shipping charges for just two books...or should I get it from the bookstore on the island? ( I will be reaching tehre on Jan 3rd..do they have enuf?)..

Now thats for the books..now about other clinical equipment as in blood pressure kit and dissection kit..and also scrubs..will I be able to get those on the island around the time i get there? Do they sell those in bookstore as well? I dont want to carry them in my luggage..

Anyone know how to setup portforwarding on Mac OS X? I knew how to set it up back home, but not sure how to do it here where multiple users share the internet connection from the apartment's main feed.

I'm using uTorrent and would like the ports open so I get faster download speeds. Thanks.

my friend told me about this school and i know very little about the school, since i got MERP by Ross i decided to find out move about it. They have distance learning for student that already have professional degrees in chiropractic, physician assistant and so on. it's only a 2 year and 1/2 program including clinical rotation. classes are held in Miami once a month. :rolleyes:

Since Ross is requiring students to secure housing before coming to Island for jan 2010, is it really going to work ?

Many on the forum here have suggested to wait until one arrives on the island and then make the choice. Granted securing housing prior to arriving makes things easier but without seeing something first hand , I feel its a touch decision especially in a different country.

This makes me very nervous !

Like the first subject in each class. I've gotten my books early, and I haven't picked up a book since May, so I want to get back into the habit of reading. Might as well read the first topics in each class that will be covered just in case it goes too fast.
