Hello Everyone,

I am a transfer student who applied to the 4th year in english medium at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Gr.T.Popa Iasi.
I recieved my acceptance letter in mid september. and in the letter it was mentioned the enrollment is possible at the university till the 15th of October. Unfortunately I couldn't get my visa before the given date due to a complicated situation( the romanian embassy in my country was closed temporary, so had to apply to an embassy in another country)
I recieved my visa last week.. I informed the university officially about this matter but haven't recieved any response yet.
But now i have this problem wether they will allow me to enroll at the university since my acceptance letter is expired.

During arrival at Romania will the immigration check my documents at the airport itself? if so will i be sent back due to my expired acceptance letter?

I am planning study in Romania next year 2010 if my admission becomes successful. I would like to find out from european students studying in Romania, when they go back to their eu countries how easy it is to license themselves with relative authorities in their native countries. Are they required to sit exams to practice and how would they go about doing their internships back in their countries?

i am in Romania now and moving back to my country,and its all because of sudden uniformed big rise in tuition feeses from dollars to euros.

i was told about 3800USD but when i reached here my new friends told me that feeses are increased by ministry of education,than i talked to few universities and mine (of course) they said yes feeses are increased and now i have to pay 3885 euros per year for medical specialization.
and they are going to raise the feeses more next year.
the tuition fees for absic MD course at university in a remote area is 5000 euros.

so now and onward forget about dollars in romania.


and moreover .
they dont care about indian and pakistanis.
yes they respect for those who are competent and hardworking and dedicated to work but that will exhaust you.

I have a question concerning the letter of acceptance.
What is the validity of letter of acceptance when you already paid for it.
Is it 3 months ?


A friend of mine will arrive lately and he wonders if he can afford to arrive late. He told the administration about his delay but I'm afraid the letter of acceptance time's validty can't guarantee him a place no more.

I was accepted to a Romanian Medical School with the promise of advanced standing into the 3rd year, based on a B.Sc., and two health-related graduate degrees. This meant that I would have to complete 4 years in Romania. I am from NY, and after reading the applicable Statute, I felt comfortable that I would meet the 4-year requirement (period of study), however, after much consultation I learned late last week that NY State would not view this favorably.

In other words, the Board is not favorable toward programs that grant transfer credits/advanced standing whether or not this is based on prior studies at a medical or non-medical school. I heard this from the Bureau of Comparative Education.
