Polls show anywhere between 56-82% of Americans favor a public option This is an optional governement run non profit health insurance plan which is funded by premiums, (not taxes) and which dosn't do rescision, (ending your coverage if you get sick) and dosn't disqualify pre-existing conditions.

The current house healthcare bill has a public option in it, the senate has an opt out public option, where states can choose not to participate.

Both bills will only allow those who do not have insurance currently, to participate.

So where do you stand on the public option?
