Well I took CK today.. To me, it seemed exactly like uworld. The length of the questions were varied and some were long, some very short. I didn't have much time left over at the end of the blocks if any to go back and check marked questions. All in all I thought it was easier than Step 1 but I still could have easily failed due to the fact that I'm a horrible standardized test taker. Seemed that it was easier to rule out incorrect answers on CK as opposed to Step 1 where a lot of the questions may as well have been written in another language.

What I did to study was to do Uworld completely with taking notes on the ones I missed and the ones I guess on and got right. I then typed up the notes in a Word document to read every other night or so. After I finished the entire uworld bank I went back and did the ones I got wrong again. The first time I went through the bank I averaged just under 50% and then jumped up to the high 60's and low 70's after studying the notes I made. I also read through secrets 3 times and also read the high yield section of First Aid a couple times as well.

To me, world and secrets are all you need in order to do well on this exam. With this being said, I could have failed the thing because of my test taking abilities or lack there of but the normal med student will do fine especially if you've had good rotations. Guess I'll let you guys know my fate in about 3 weeks.. Wish me luck!
