I can just picture some stuck up conservative administrator making the decision to suspend him. Idiots.

Well, even though he appears to have been a good student, he doesn't appear to have been too intelligent in posting his unfiltered opinions so freely. Making the kind of remarks as he did is bound to get one into trouble.

If he thinks the dental school doesn't have a sense of humor, wait until he meets a dental board. There are tradeoffs.....if you want to make big money, you have to take the restraints that are there in terms of behavior.

Or he is dumb enough to have been indentified by the school...

He has every right to make stupid comments like that. However, perhaps a of bit of anonomity would have been best...

In the public arena, your first amendment rights are unfettered.

However, he is (presumably voluntarily) attending a private dental school which expects their students to behave in a certain way. He didn't follow the rules, so he gets in trouble.

No First Amendment issues, as the government is not infringing on his freedom of speech.

Ahhh... So true Mr. Miagi!! Private institutions can censor as much as they want and be as exclusive as they want in their admissions and discipline. He is definitely free to keep saying whatever he wants without criminal charges, though.
