applying to Charles uni - 1st faculty

Hie everyone!!!
my name is Amanda. I'm new here this is my first post. I'm considering applying to Charles university-first faculty for medicine but I was wondering whether anyone could give me information about the application process. I'm applying from the UK (doing my A-levels at the moment) and want to apply for 2005 but l don't even know when the term starts there and when is the deadline? l've also heard that there is an entrance exam is it possible to write the exam in England and how does one prepare for the exam, how long do you need to prepare for it, can l get practise questions? what type of exam is it and what does it test on? Is there anyone here that has applied from the UK with A/AS-levels or does anyone know anyone that has?

Also, I am originally from Zimbabwe and I was jus wondering if there are any Zims or Africans at Charles uni, is it easy to adapt to the culture, what's the social life like,

another thing- if you are not an EU citizen are you allowed to work as a doctor in the Czech rep. or other Euro countries after you finish your degree?

Last thing - does anyone know of any medschools in Germany that teach in English?

1) You will have greater difficulty getting licensed and will need to obtain a work permit after you graduate for EU countries, unless you have EU citizenship or residency rights.

2) German (and Austrian) med schools teach in German. In fact, the Goethe exam is required for entrance. A few will allow foreign students to take their exams in English, but the curriculum is in German. If you are willing to learn German, you may qualify for admission based on your Zimbabwean citizenship, as I understand schools in Austria and Germany have spots for students coming from underserved countries. (Those coming from the developed world have to either prove that they have been admitted into a med school in their own country or compete with the locals for a spot.)
