Thread: Anyone Going to Masaryk University

Hi guys, Just wanted to know if anyone has applied to Masaryk University for Medicine.

Hey guys, I'm kinda confused with the acco. So I've applied to Vinarska and now I have to wait until August to pay for the bed? is that it?
About the flats near campus..where did you see information about it? there is nothing mentioning it on the website (that I know of). I'm interested in the apartment option..

if you go on the website for accom and click on the bar at the top, it says CAMPUS RESIDENTIAL AREA, it seems so ideal because its on campus

Thank you, it seems a really good option. And it says on the web site that the flat can be for 1,2 or 3 people, its our choice.

Yeah, but the only problem is that you have to find roommates before hand and I don't know anyone so thats not an option for me

The flat being for 1,2 or 3 people means that U can be there by yourself..

I looked at the CRA (Campus Residential Area) on the website. It's looks good. Are you definitely going to stay in Vinarska vitorptm? or would you be interested in sharing a flat in CRA. If your interested send me a pm. If anyone else is interested in sharing a flat in CRA send me a pm. I'm male, tidy, organised, get up early and exercise every day (running + swimming). I'll be doing Dentistry and I'm from Ireland. Someone similar would be best.

When you say flat sharing you mean sleep in the same room or will we have separate rooms?

If it's the latter then I'm interested ! I'm doing GM !

You can find about CRA on the university accommodation website (SKM).

I will probably rent in the city. I've been in Brno for about a month and I figured out where I'd like to live. My friends who already study at Masaryk live in the center which for me is really not a good option as it takes them 40 minutes to get to the campus ! But they have lessons at the hospital as well which is closer to the center. As first years all of our classes will be at the campus. I have already found a room with two other guys in the flat which is 4 mins to campus by bus and will probably stay there.

The areas around campus are Novy Liscovec, Stary Liscovec and Bohunice.

The reason why I won't stay at the halls is because there are no single rooms in Vinarska or Kounicova. I sent an email and they can give me a double room for myself only after December so I would have to live with someone in the same room until then. That's a no for me as I appreciate my privacy.
