Comparison between charles and jag

Hi, I was just surfing the net for decent medical schools. I came across Charles university, Prague and Jagillonian university, Poland. I read that they are both prestigious as well as recognized around the world however; I would like to know which graduate of these school would have a higher chance of getting residency in USA (Mainly New York, New Jersey, California). What is the major difference between them? Is one really better than the other?

Thanks,
vpv.

Both of them are quite good. As long as a european medical school is CA-accredited (both of which are), then their program is very good. There are only a few CA-accredited programs for the English medical programs in Europe. They are:

Czech Republic - Charles First Faculty of Medicine, Prague
Poland - Jagiellonian
Hungary - University of Debrecen, Pecs, Semmelweis, Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Univ. of Medicine.

Getting a CA approval is sort of a "merit" in itself as it's quite hard to get (it also entitles students to practice in all the 50 US states). This is because the CA medical board is considered to be one of the toughest, most stringent boards when it comes to accepting foreign medical applicants (includes Americans who've done their medicine abroad). So all the colleges listed above are "technically" good but you would have to get in touch with the students of those different universities to get the "feel" of the univ. I would recommend that you visit the colleges of your choice (as they're not that far) so that you have first hand experience.
