i want to apply to Palacky and charles in june of year 2008 because i'm a high school student in canada . i wanted to know how they go about looking at high school average do they look at grade 12 or accumalted four years of high school avg and is there a certain avg i have to attain for them to consider me ( i know the higher the better ) but like a cutoff and how do they look at canadian students cause our HS finishes at the end of june nd i heard they close the applications process b then....i would really appreciate it if some one can really help me with that

i think the entrance usually what counts...they usually hardly have any north american high school students studying medicine right outta high school (however i guess i'm one of the exceptions)...as long as you pass the entrance exam (which i recommend you take it as early as you can), then you should be fine. there is no cut-off that i've heard off.

Shrey Are You In The 6 Year Or 4 Year Sorry I Forgot.

I'm in the 6 yr. program...there aren't any 4 yr. medical programs in the Czech Republic and in case you wanna do a 4yr. or a 5yr. program, you need to do a bachelors degree or 1-2 yrs. of undergrad respectively....the 6yr. programs on the other hand are meant for high school students (note of european standard which is equivalent to the IB or AP programs in the US)

sure no problem. well i really like the place (awesome social life)...the univ. is good (although the language barrier can get annoying at times). the weather kinda sucks (freezing right now).....but basically i'm enjoying medical school so far....lot of stress, lot of tension, lot of studying...and lot of partying.....

no...unfortunately left my cam back home....i'll put some up as soon as i get my cam (which is in about 15 days...)...but did you check out the Charles Univ. site? (the one specifically for the First Faculty of Medicine)?
