loan for med school
hey, does anyone know how one can get any interational loans without the hassle for a co-signer? i am currently in charles univ. first faculty studying med. and i am in need for a loan for the comin school year, plz let me know if you have any ideas! thx

depends on whether you are a US citizen or not.
if you are, then you can apply for Stafford loans without a co-signer (for a maximum of $18,500 per year, but this will be raised to $20,500 or so starting this Fall (i.e. 2007-2008 academic year). you can also try www.SallieMae.com as they have private loans for US citizens studying abroad. if you are not a US citizen, then you should look into educational loans/stipends from your home country.
