Atlanta Clinicals and places to live? looking

I am considering to go and do some rotations in Atlanta. Can anyone give me information about accommadations.

I believe the rotations are in the Atlanta Medical Center.

I also have children so location is important. I would be most grateful for any information.

Thanks

Atanta Clinicals for Sint Eust. students

I am a Sint Eust. student and they set up the clinicals for me in Atlanta. One of the strengths for Sint Eust. is they are very focused on getting their students good quality rotations for the clinical years.

I was able to find a very nice area to live in Marietta East Cobb county. The travel time to the hospitals downtown are about 20 to 25 minutes from where I live and there are some affordable accommodations for those on a budget. I would suggest you check the area you live out with the police first, because some places are very dangerous.

Some of the better places to live not far from downtown Atlanta are East Cobb County ( especially good for students with children), Dunwoody, and the Vinings. Buckhead is too busy and very expensive, not the best place to live.

If any Sint Eust. students need help moving to Atlanta for clinicals, please contact me because I have studied the area and made notes on various places to live. I decided to live in East Cobb County ( Marietta ) because I have children and their education is important to me.

Best of Luck

clinicals in Atlanta

Hello. What has been your experience doing clinicals in Atlanta? Do you have any information on how St Eust went about setting up your clinicals there? If you have some information on the hospital, and maybe a contact, would you mind sharing the information with us? Thanks in advance for your help!

atlanta clinicals

Clinical rotations in Atlanta are excellent. The teaching is excellent and there are many medicals students from Georgia schools and International Medical schools.

The Attending are excellent with teaching and they make sure you are focusing on the right materials.

Thus far my experience has been excellent. There are many teaching hospitals in the Atlanta area. The medical schools have contracts with the hospitals so their students can rotate in the hospitals. This applies to any hospital where medical students are doing rotations because the schools have to have a contract with the hospital so you get credit.

The rotations in Colorado and Maryland are also excellent.

help

Hello everyone. I am new on this forum. I was wondering if anyone could help me getting some names of some hospitals that would be willing to accept a student for electives for spring in the Atlanta area. I have found the Atlanta Medical Center, but could not find the application page. Could anyone help with names of hospitals or the application web address?
Thanks graciously.

Atlanta hospital

Grady Hospital. Crawford Long Hosp., and Emory are a few others. AMC has ob/gyn, Fam Prac., IM, and Surgery.

I would not recommend going through PGY1md and if you are able to set the rotations up yourself then you will have more of a selection.

Good luck

OB/GYN

Hey,

My next rotation is OB/GYN at AMC. Has anyone done that rotation there yet? How is it? What is the schedule and call like? How is the teaching? Is there much hands on training? Also, what books are recommended? I know I will get a list from my school, but what do most people actually use?

Thanks in advance.
