Rules in each state

Hi

I've been trying to research the different rules regarding clinical rotations in each state. I know that California will not allow foreign students to rotate in their state. I'm fairly certain Pennsylvania has the same rule. I am aware of New Yorks 12 week rule for students are at an unapproved Medical school. What about the other states? Does anyone know about their own respective states. I've tried to search for NJ, MASS, CONN, and some other states to see if they have any rules regarding clinical rotations for foreign students. I have yet to come across anything yet.

If anyone has knowledge regarding this matter in their own state.. i would
greatly appreciate any information you can provide to me.

Thanks!

CA...

I think it all depends on which foreign school you go to. My husband is a student at American University of the Caribbean (AUC) and they are allowed to do clinical rotations in CA (3rd and 4th year). I think the school has to be approved through the California State Medical Board in order to do clinicals there, which AUC is.

texas

Grace is correct. I go to SGU and we are approved by Cali as well and students do rotations there all the time.

As far as texas is concerned, you have to do a rotation as a visiting student of one of the medical schools in texas which means you have to be approved by the school's registrar to do this. If you dont do this you risk not being able to get licensed in texas.
