rotations done in atlanta
a few students I know and I did our peds and psych with GMC Group. I heard recently that those rotations have not been acgme acredited.. We were told by an unlisenced doctor who works for gmc that we would have not problems because they will take care of it...
Now what.. ? We get screwed?? I heard they dont have a contract with atlanta medical center any more.. where are the paper work kept?? at some doctor's office? These are not only st. chris students.. they are st matthews. st eustat.., iuhs.. etc.. the list goes on... can anyone answer this?? Also southwest closed down.. where are our files kept?? I heard from southwest hospital that some doctor called from gmc and took our paperwork.. it this true.. whats going on with ridgeview instutite? the students that did thier rotations there 2-4 yrs ago.. where are their papers being kept?? and now? is it acgme??

What the?
Why do you post these questions on this board?
Why ask students and people who do not even go to the school? Ask the places in Atlanta. Ask the Admin at the school. People who post questions like that are irresponsible. (Yes I know I'm a target now. SO what everytime someone points out that a post like this is misguided....bam 20 posts about it and more.)

GMC Group
Okay, well, I don't know exactly what is going on, but from what I understand my friend went down to AMC last week, and he said that everything looks like it is sorted out down there with GMC Group... A bunch of GMC employees are no longer there. Also, AMC is still licensed for those rotations, and so the rotations you did SHOULD still be greenbook (except psych I think which has been off and on at Ridgeview as greenbook).

I asked Kathy at in AMC... according to her they did not renew their contract with GMC/pgy1md group..
Ridgeview is ok for students that did rotations there.. if the hospital has kept records there.. if the Dr Clapper has the records then it was not greenbooked.. Southwest... Im still wondering... anyword anyone?
