General Internal Medicine Elective Question

Do you think doing a general internal medicine elective is a good idea? I am not very interested in IM but I am planning to do 1-2 IM electives. Will it hurt my CV if I don't have any IM subspecialty experience? Or it doesn't matter as long as I have some 4th year IM experience?
