Rules for doing Core Rotation in Canada??

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone has done or arranged clinical core rotation in Canada. What are the rules to be careful about. I have read somewhere that we are allowed to do 12 weeks of rotation/year, so if someone would like to do rotation at end of july this year will he/she be eligible to do 12 weeks more rotation next year? I would appreciate everyone inputs in regards to this, especially if I am coming from European school and trying to arrange my core rotation in Canada, what specific rules should I follow to not be in trouble in future.
Thank you all,

P.S. I will be posting this message in different forum to get as many inputs possible. My apology in advance if I am repeating same thing.

Yes the rules say 12 weeks every year...I know of students who completed ALL rotations in Canada and were able to secure a Cdn residency, but my feeling is that this is a bit of a risk. If the right person discovers you spend >12 wks you could be in trouble.

have a look

Just a comment. The 12 weeks is dependent on which school you attend I believe. I've looked at Mac, Western, U of T and all have different lengths of time that are acceptable and all have different restrictions about which year you must be in (either last OR next to last or last). Good luck. S-

thank you very much for your input....CANimg and others....i would be heading back to toronto in summer so i will dig in more into these possibilities...and for sure i will post my input in future....i really didn't know that the ontario schools have different rules. if someone have already done their research could you post any specific rules or exact number of weeks ontario schools allow you? i really know a psychiatrist in mac and iam sure i can arrange easily rotation with him but i don't want to screw myself later with licensing issues....at same time i have heard that few students from Saba university did their core rotation in canada, so i hope their is hope for some of us....thanks in advance...
