Financing Medical Education after Chiro School...
Hello all.
I have been out of chiropractic school now for about 4 years and I am in private practice by myself. I have a pretty stress free life. I only work 32 hours/week and I am making decent money. The thing is that I would like to get into medicine to pursue OMT, PM&R or Orthopedics. It isnt an ego thing or really even a financial thing as I am doing fine right now. For me it is about the academics. I would really like to get into a teaching hospital and be able to do some research on manual medicine. I know this is never going to work out for me as a DC. My dillema is that I owe about $100K in student loans and probably will not have them paid off for another 5 years and I would like to start school again asap. I talked to the same loan people I am currently with and they have told me that I owe too much to start another degree program. What are my options? |
