Thread: Is this true when people say..

Apparently its better to get admission into lower school (in the ranking) because you can get higher grades so increasing your chances for getting into dental school?
But then surely dental admission are not that stupid and would find out and consider where you graduated?

They will see your transcripts and will know exactly where you went to school, and what your grades were. Many will consider a degree from an excellent school with a lower GPA as better than a high GPA from a lesser school. In general, I feel that it is better to go to the best school that you can, but one at which you feel comfortable and can perform well.

Also, just wondering... Why are you posting these questions in the "Central and South American Medical Schools" section?

Yes,it happens that a person who has low CGP but from a recognized institute is preferred over that man who has better CGP but from a lower institute.
