Well, it depends on what you like. My husband and I wanted to get away from touristy St. Maarten, although the water is gorgeous and there is a lot to do, during one of his breaks so we went to Saba and enjoyed hiking, etc. on this fairly remote island with a small population. If you enjoy scubadiving I've heard Saba is awesome.

Its true. SABA is very-non touristy. They have great trails for hiking, great scuba diving, and extremely friendly people.

I like St Maarten (Dutch), but I think St Martin (French) is really nice to stay on, especially at Orient Beach. They have a lot of fun water sports and the beach is amazing. Stay at this place called La plantation - it's affordable and comparable to Maho prices - but it's nicer than Maho.

Anguilla...umm it costs a heck of a lot of money to travel via taxi (so rent a car when you get there). Amazing beaches but not much to do other than that. You can swim with the dolphins which was nice.

That's all.

Try Dominican Republic for a 3 day vacation in one of the all-inclusive hotels:0).

But again also it depends on what you want to do.

Ross med school students may disagree, but my wife and I spent x-mas in Dominica and it was absolutely fantastic. If you're looking for alot of beach time, however, this may not be the place since there are very few beaches on this "new" island.

The hiking and SCUBA are great!

It depends on where you are coming from and searching. Puerto Rico is nice if you want to experience U.S. stuff and not have a massive flight. I enjoyed the beaches in Saint Barths as well as nice French restaraunts. It also has lots of expensive shopping. I have done the hike to the top of Saba a few times and if you into nature, I hear the Eco Lodge is fun if you want to stay overnight in Saba. The Rainforest was nice for pics. Anguilla had the best beaches, but the hotels are expensive (you can do a day trip from Saint Maarten by ferry). I live in Saint Maarten, it has lots to do, just gets old when you live there, but may be a nice way to spend a three day vacation.

Depends on where you are coming from.

St. Kitts is very nice. Marriot is great - off season cheap rates.
St. Martin - Dutch and French side Maho Beach and Orient Beach (nude)
St. Barts - expensive - take a ferry from St. Martin Nice boutiques
St. Lucia - nice resorts - all inclusive resorts
Antigua - Jolly Beach resort - all inculsive
St. Thomas - close to being in US
Aruba Nice port
Puerto Rico - very nice, like being in states
Been to all of these including Nevis - nothing to do and expensive to stay.

When I was in Nevis, I flew to Puerto Rico over the break and took a 7 day cruise. Airfare was cheap and got to see a lot of islands down the chain.
