moderators
I think the mods are a bit too sensitive and may this " moderating thing " may have gottent to their heads . Every post here is a contribution to the forum . Some forums even thank you for contributing after every post . I can understand the need to monitor the forum for those that threaten others etc but I think the moderators go overboard when some members like myself try and be funny/ silly ..in a subtle , ambigious way ..even that gets one banned these days ...it takes away the fun from the board ..would be better to just ask someone to edit their post first ..but no they won't do that ..it just doesn't give them that sense of power as banning or giving an infraction ..
There are defintely two or three mods out of the whole lot who are way over their heads with this moderating thing I may even get an infraction for this post ...who knows Maybe some of these folks wanted to be cops and they are sublimating that ambition into moderating this board ? I was a real cop ..and I knew serious offenders versus those that offenses that a slap on the wrist would suffice ..but hey enuff about my ramble ..like i said i just might get banned for this

Firefighter brings a good point. In fact most people are indeed asked to edit their posts before infractions are given. In spite of the fact that all users agree to terms of use upfront and are expected to know them. Typically when someone gets an infraction its because they have chosen to ignore requests or there are multiple violations in spite of requests, or a first violation was reasonable serious. So interpret a person's infractions within that context. If one doesn't agree with the terms of use that they are asked to agree to, they of course may opt to use a different forum.
