Objective opinion
Personally, I do not hate this school or RL guy. However, I just do not want to risk my money (6 figure debt) and 5 years of my life on a school that lacks of any license approval from any of the 50 states. Currently, the safest bets in the Caribbeans are sgu, ross, auc and sabba. In addition, there is also uag in mexico. If u even go further outside of America, then there are a ton of schools in foreign countries that are very well established and they are welcome by numerous states in USA. In comparison to those older schools, younger schools would run into more legislative resistance and the graduates will have to work much harder to get license after the graduation. Thus, it completely depends on where u want to be after your graduation because a diploma is not a license to practice medicine. It is possible for anyone to receive a diploma, but getting a license works on completely different rules. The best way for u to get the most accurate information is to go on to the
California Medical School Board website and check out its accepted-schools list and it will help u to determine what schools u should choose. The reason I recommend California because it is considered a state with the strictest standards and its accepted schools are usually accepted into other states with the least amount of resistance. For example, the big four are on the list and they have graduates who are currently employed all over the USA. |

It's not the system. There's only X number of space in the US for students with X+1000000000000 applicants. The responsibility is yours to research and gain acceptance in a school of credible caliber outside the US.

Take a look at http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-med...tml#post652988 Notice that the Curacao government invited CMU to apply to open a medical school on August 10th, 2007. Bottom line: CMU is not a real medical school till they get a charter from the Curacao and the Netherland Antilles government. If CMU say they have the charter, wait for it to be listed on the IMED website. See http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-med...tml#post649631 Then, if you still want to go to this school, take everything they say with a healthy cynicism. They currently have a track record of misrepresenting their current situation. Hope this helps. |
