i agree 100% and if that is the choice so be it but this site is about opinions so responding to why his logic doesn't make sense is also a valid opinion and actually one that is based on current conditions
the lack of imed prevents sitting for the usmle and getting a license anywhere in the US as of right now so there is no way to compare cmu to any other school down there that can offer those..there is no argument there and if someone signs on to attend CMU or any school without a charter/ability to sit for the most basic licensing exam, etc based on a hunch and a feeling that at some time down the road the school will be good..well that just shows very poor decision making ability in my opinion
its like telling a patient with testicular cancer that right now we have treatment that has a 98% cure rate (subsutute for sgu) but is expensive and requires sacrifice (orchiectoimy) or that i have a hunch and a feeling that a drug i heard about in development now (CMU) that is modeled on the computer and last week received notice from the fda that it can start the paperwork to get permission for in vitro trials in the hope that some time later it can apply to start animal models that someday may lead to human trials...but my gut feeling is that my patient shoudl wait 10 years because i have a hunch that the drug will spare him the orchiectomy doesn't make sense
