How about these statements still listed on your website:

Quote:
CMU has successfully addressed all requirements of ECFMG and therefore obtained permission for its students to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examination tests.
Quote:
Graduates of CMU are eligible to sit for MCCQE Parts I and II, and to apply for the LMCC.
Quote:
The Government of Curacao by granting a permit to Caribbean Medical University gives the right to confer a degree of Medical Doctor to those who successfully complete the university's curriculum. Affiliation with Caribbean International University allows the faculty to teach the art and science of medicine, and to operate the institution on the island of Curacao.
All of these statements are patently incorrect.

It was there since we thought the process would have been faster. Hoverer due to the monopoly issue, we had to wait like 6 months till the Government clarified that. Now they process our application much faster.

The point is that it ISN'T TRUE. I know it probably won't be a problem, since the government is now working with you, but you can't say it until it is true. That is why people are jumping all over you. So far, you haven't officially addressed ANY of the requirements of the ECFMG. You don't have your own charter (the "borrowed" charter is sketchy), and you aren't IMED listed. That constitutes fraudulent business practices.

Before I was actually a licensed physician, I couldn't write prescription or practice medicine. I didn't anticipate any problems, since I had met all the requirements for the state of Maryland, but I had to wait until I had a license to practice......G

But CIU has had the charter since 2001, so the monopoly would not have been an issue. Unless CIU cant confer the M.D. degree...which would make your current charter worthless. BTW why did you post something without clarification from the government first. Can you admit that posting something without all the facts known was irresponsible?

The beauty of a webpage is that it can be changed quickly, easily and cheaply. It's not like a book where you have to print new copies and through the old ones away. The fact is that, despite being aware of the false statements on the website, CMU left them up there. As others have said, this are fraudulent business practices, for which there is no excuse.

One other point to ponder is these little "details" that are not true will prejudice people against the school for a long time to come. When a new school opens it is scrutinized here...just look at the St. Chris forum. When you come out and ram the school down people's throats, like the students did, you will get even more people to pay attention to you. If you had taken down the inaccurate information when you were first alerted to it, it would have shown some good faith on your part. Since it is left there, and it is most definitely misleading, it really makes you look bad. No matter what happens with the future of the school. G

So it looks like you are just lying.

but that's just it-IMED has no paperwork from curacao (maybe because curacao hasn't actully finished processing your paperwork?) about IMED listing- just thinkin about it in your head isn't ACTUALLY "in process".

there have been numerous people (myself included) that have inquired with IMED directly about said paperwork and there is nothing on their end.

What monopoly issue?

I brought it up yesterday here.

Since you never answered it, I am repeating it.

CIU has a charter in 2001. St. Martinus started in 2003.

Now why would Curacao give St. Martinus a medical education monopoly if CIU already has the right to provide a medical education and grant MD degree?
