By the way:

From about two months ago -

http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-med...tml#post615941

"There is no IMED recognition, WHO and FAIMER is just a matter of weeks. They have to finish merging their databases."

I find that funny, that you're saying that they have to finish merging their databases, meaning that everything was already finished and settled two months ago for listing.

http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-medical-university-cmu/136326-caribbean-medical-university-2.html#post617552

"THE DATE WHEN A SCHOOL WAS ESTABLISHED MATTERS and CMU WAS ESTABLISHED IN MARCH 20007!!!!!"

But that charter was just signed today?

http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-medical-university-cmu/137573-i-need-some-information-admin.html#post623301

"CMU/CIU has all required documents to operate the university on the island of Curaca, its just a matter of time for WHO and IMED to receive the information about the university. You may contact the Ministry of Education of Netherland Antilles to inquire about CMU establishment but the WHO and IMED listing will be done once they two finish combining their databases.
On our website you may also find the CMU foundation registration documents, that is recognized by the Government of Netherlands Antilles. If you have any other questions please dont hesitate to contact our offices."

From two months ago you said you have everything, and all the documents are listed, etc etc. But the charter was just signed today? And now you're saying it will be weeks more for WHO/IMED because of that? So then what was all that you said?

http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-medical-university-cmu/140477-letter-new-sga-president-fall-2007-a.html#post647238

"You need to stop and wait till next Friday to see documents regarding IMED listing."

You're right, you didn't explicitly say anything that it will be the IMED that will appear today. Though at least it clears it up.

http://www.valuemd.com/caribbean-medical-university-cmu/140515-rlewkowski-who-imed-2.html#post647582

"Because CMU is fully legit school and eligible for listing in WHO and IMED as any other Caribbean medical school. However there was a delay in processing our application, which was submitted on March 15th. The delay occurred due to circumstances that were not under our control. As I stated in the previous posts, the situation has been clarified now and within one week we'll post official documents confirming our listing with those two agencies."

Is this because you DIDN'T HAVE A CHARTER? And I think this is where you promised CONFIRMATION of your listing "WITH THOSE TWO AGENCIES"

Second, the IMED/WHO listing is now just a matter of weeks since the most important document /charter/ was signed today and those 2 organization have to list CMU among other caribbean medical schools.
Our IT department prepares the update of the website to show the copy of CMU's charter.
I am probably mistaken about the IMED. In the past, date of Charter has been important to both the ECFMG, and state licensing boards. ANy coursework done prior to the date of charter hasn't counted. St. Christopher's is an example of that. IMED is not so important, now that you have a charter, since they do nothing to investigate/accredit schools, they simply list schools with a valid charter. So, I think that one is in the bank. Is the charter effective some date other than today? Congrats on getting the charter. I am still concerned about the students that have already started, and their potential problems sitting for the boards and getting licensed because of the date of matriculation/date of charter discrepancy.

Please know I have no vested interest in any school. I don't get paid by any school. I am interested in seeing that people who are following the same path I followed get the opportunities they expect when they sign on the dotted line. G

They changed one part of it, good. But that requires the average student to carefully look at a seperate page. Not the main page About CMU where it still proudly proclaims it is in posession of it.

Why don’t you just admit false promises, Mrs. Rokshana. Everyone was waiting for the charter and now you are trying to change your promise. That just reveals your credibility.

It looks like your words are worth NUTHIN!!!!

Actually, everyone assumed you had the charter since the school was open and running. If you read Roks posts, you will see that she specifically refers to IMED listings. You guys better call ECFMG and make sure you don't have to re-take your semester. I have a sneaking suspicion there may be an issue if anyone looks at this closely...and they do look at things closely. G

<COUGH> This is from CMU's admin's own words btw, "As I stated in the previous posts, the situation has been clarified now and within one week we'll post official documents confirming our listing with those two agencies.""

No student would be required to retake any classes simply because we operate under the affiliation with Caribbean International University, that obtained its charter in 2001.

Didn't CMU just receive it today?

OK, so why did you get a charter today? Have there been any examples of other schools operating under a charter from someplace else? This is like law....well, not really LIKE since it IS a legal discussion. There needs to be precedent. If there is none, then what happens is simply a matter of conjecture until the waters are tested. I would not want to be one of the guinea pigs. G
