Hi,
Inorder to know whether a medical school is recognised or not you must Look into the "INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL EDUCATION DIRECTORY(IMED).
This is because inorder to pursue residency one of the foremost criteria is that the school must have been listed in the IMED atleast during the year of your enrollment into the school even if subsequently the school loses it's recognition.
I hope my interpretation was right and please check up the IMG Ontario website which states this in the document list section.
Hope it helped you..

Regards
Ragi

Medicine in Bulgaria

muplovdiv.com, is not the official university website. I am studying medicine in bulgaria and I am not aware of any 4-yr programs in Bulgaria.

Canadians who study abroad are required to appear for Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examinations after completing medicine.

In Bulgaria the duration of medical studies is 6 years and only two universities offer education in English - the Medical University in Pleven and the Medical Faculty of Sofia University.

In Varna they do not teach in English
In Plovdiv they had started teaching in English, but they had some problems, im not aware about the current status.
You can get in touch with me if you need further info
Cheers!
