Anyone have any idea of whats the earliest we will hear from programs about interviews?

Previously, on the Ontario Family IMG website they said first round of interviews will be sent out on December 10, 2011. However, it appears the website had been taken down...perhaps, they are revamping it/altering the timeline....

Anyone have any idea for IM or Surgery?

Several state Jan 5 in the CARMS program description

So the Interview period on the Carms website doesn't apply to IMGs....I thought the IV period was similar for us, from what I've heard. Any thoughts/experiences?

it is similar according to the individual program descriptions.

I'm thinking the 1st round of FM invites may be today, Dec 9 not 10, Saturday. Plus I checked the calender and Dec 10 in 2010 was Friday. The Ont FM web site is not that accurate as it states your 2012 application deadline is Nov25, 2012

For Family Medicine applications (source: cached version of the ONTARIO FAMILY MEDICINE PROGRAMS website): November 25, 2011	Deadline to submit an application to CaRMS 2012 match
December 10, 2011	First round of interview invitations are sent out
December 16, 2011 0900 hrs EST	Deadline to submit interview location ranking (by invitation only)
December 28, 2011	Interview locations announced to candidates, no more interview invitations will be sent out after this date
January 18, 2012	IMG Information Session in Toronto (not mandatory, by invitation only)
January 20, 2012	IMG CaRMS interviews in one of 5 cities in Ontario
February 21, 2012	Deadline to submit rank order to CaRMS
March 6, 2012	CaRMS 2012 first iteration Match Day
March 19, 2012	Pre-residency Program Phase 1 begins for successfully matched applicants
April 4, 2012	(If there are positions available after first iteration) Deadline to submit 2nd iteration rank order to CaRMS
April 18, 2012	(If there are positions available after 1st iteration) CaRMS 2012 second iteration Match Day

Probably Dec 10, 2011 for 1st round of interviews as indicated on the Timeline page but why on a Saturday?
