Thread: Canadian Royal College Internal Medicine Exam

Did anybody pass or is anyone preparing for the Canadian Royal College Internal Medicine exam? I am a canadian foreign grad, I did my residency in the states and I passed the American Board of Internal Medicine, but I failed the Canadian exam on my first attempt. I need advice re: books to read, how to prepare, especially for the oral exam. Also, are there any prep courses? Please help...

I agree with iheart. I interviewed at a major canadian univ and was told about the qbank by the attendings there.

This is what the public and the officials think about the issue. Qbanks are different from memorizing questions straight from the exam and sharing them after signing an agreement of confidentiality. Many licensing boards never re-use questions so it's not an issue in those regions, perhaps that is the way these exams are administered in Canada?

Not to diverge from the thread topic, but I thought once you are ABIM certified, you could get a license after some sort of supervised practice? No exams required?

Hi, I am taking the royal college spring 2013 exam. Is there any advise you can give me? I cannot find any study materials or pactice exams. I am US trained residency and fellowship.
