outlook for canadians?

Hi i posted this same question on the st. george board, but i guess it really applies to all carribean schools. "Hi, i'm a canadian considering applying to SGU next year. I'm just wondering how many canadians are down there, and of those how many (canadians) are able to land residencies in the US (particulary IM/family). I am aware of the visa difficulties. So how difficult is it for canadians to land H1B visas."
I'm wondering what all the canadians do if they don't get US residencies. I'd hate to think after spending 200K+ I end up going back to canada cause i can't find work and do research or something. (ie, what % of canadians in caribbeans schools get US residencies).

Thanks
