are IMGs now eligible for first round matches in CaRMS?

is this the ACTUAL first round, or the crap offered last year re: first round *equivalent match?

Cheers,

Yes, I got 3 interview calls for IM in Ontario.
Does anyone know how the interviews are? Questions they ask?

Thanks!

Congratulations!

Would you mind sharing your scores? Which school did you go to?

I understand that IMGs are only given one interview call in Ontario irrespective of the number of schools you applied to. So when you say you got three interview calls, I am assuming that you applied to more than one provinces. Is that right?

No, I received 3 interview calls all in Ontario. U of T, UWO and McMasters. I am a Caribbean Grad with USMLE 1 and 2 finishing my 4rth year in the USA. Step 1 score: 213, Step 2 score 189 and MCCEE score 331.
I didn't apply to any province other than onterio since I only want to live in Ontario and didn't want to write MCCQE1 or 2.

Hey Badseed, congrats! If you don't mind saying, which school in the Caribbean did you go to and was it a good experience? Also, did you do any electives in Ontario? One more thing: if you get a residency in Ontario, is it true you have to do a Return of Service (RoS) in an under-serviced area (Up north for specialties, south or north for FM)? Maybe this would be okay with you???
Thanks,
